All smiles at Presentation Evening

Bourton and Frankton FC and CC looked back on something of a disruptive year on the field and a positive one off it at the club’s Annual Presentation Evening on Friday night.

Bourton and Frankton FC and CC looked back on something of a disruptive year on the field and a positive one off it at the club’s Annual Presentation Evening on Friday night.

Held this year by kind arrangement at local hospitality venue Dunsmore House, club members and officials gathered together to reflect on something of a stop-start football season in the Coventry Alliance Football League thanks to the pandemic. For the second season running the lockdown restrictions saw the season abandoned and delcared null and void – league table at the time of season ending HERE

Despite the 2020/21 league season being curtailed, B & F were entered into the Peter Toogood internal cup when restrictions were eased. Unfortunately the side did not make it through the group stages to the knockout rounds, but there was at least some satisfaction by finishing the season on a high with a victory (over Yelvertoft).

From the club’s cricket side, the 2020 season of friendlies suffered a two month delay and only started in July once clearance was given by the ECB.
