It was a much changed side to that B & F previously faced earlier in the season in as much Willoughby fielded their Sunday seconds with their 1sts away at Warwick.

Batting first B & F racked up another 200+ score to add to that of previous weeks with Daniel McManus, Rich Parsons and Mark Whitehead all retiring on 52 not out, and George Smith and Stuart McQuillan both contributing 24. Sean Thornton took 2 for 24 for the hosts.

Willoughby’s reply was grateful to opener Ian Andrews holding firm with 32 as B & F made early inroads to the Willoughby top order. Thornton made 38 in at number six but with Nathan Kemp outdoing son Noah with the bat making 14 and skipper James Andrews adding 15 the only other scores of note, the home side were bowled out for 137. Parsons proved the most successful of B & F’s bowling with 3 for 21 backed by James Playdon taking 2 for 11 in their 113 run success.
