News from the weekend and not great again
Sadly the heavy downpours of Saturday again put paid to any chance of play at The Field on Sunday, meaning our scheduled friendly with Welford was cancelled due to a wet pitch.
Let’s hope for better weather and conditions this Sunday for the visit of Marton

A five-wicket return from captain Rich Parsons and an innings of 61 not out from Mark Whitehead could not B & F falling short in their run case at home to Stoneleigh.
The visitors batted first and set a target of 222 [all out#] in their overs with Parsons returning figures of 5 for 53.
In reply, Whitehead’s 61 not out was supported by Parsons making 43 but B & F eventually fell short of the required total, closing on 203 for 8.

A century for B & F’s Dale Coles was one of two three-figure innings posted in Sunday’s home win over visitors Rugby CC.
Dale made 103 retired not out in B & F’s total of 295 for 7 with George Smith chipping in with 73.
In reply, Rugby made a good fist of the chase with Daniel Pinks making 102 not out and fellow opener and stalwart Charlie Robards making 53 not out [retired] as the visitors closed on 230 for 3, giving B & F victory by 65 runs.

First-time visitors to The Field, Wanderers CC, made it a successful one with a 6 wicket victory over B & F on Sunday.
Batting first B & F posted 186 for 8 off their 40 overs with Michael Cook top scoring with 52 not out.
However that was eclipsed by the visitors who reached their target with just under two overs to spare and with only four wickets down

Rain proved to be the only winner of the day in Bourton and Frankton Cricket Club’s first outing of the new season away at Dunton Bassett.

Bourton and Frankton kept their recent run and top two spot aspirations on track with a hard-earned point away at fellow promotion hopefuls Balsall and Berkswell.
Bourton and Frankton Cricket Club will embark on their pre-season net training shortly with a new day and venue in place.
